OUR RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAIN
At every stage of our path, we work to make a positive difference, from obtaining sustainable raw materials to collaborating with a dedicated network of Official Dealers who share our values. We choose the greenest base materials possible. Throughout our collections, we use GOTS-certified organic cotton as well as GRS-certified recycled cotton, polyester, and nylon.
Certifications for the unbranded garments
Their supply chain has received certification from a number of independent organisations and standards, proving our dedication to sustainable environmental practises and elevated regard for the environment. But we go further than that. In order to deepen our knowledge and inspire action for the planet and its inhabitants, we constantly go beyond certifications.
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is the world's top recycled textile standard. The standard tackles traceability, environmental principles, societal requirements, chemical content, and labelling throughout the supply chain. We use GRS certified recycled cotton, recycled polyester, and recycled nylon.
The most important international guideline for the production of organic fibres is the Global Organic Textile guideline (GOTS). It is the most stringent certification for organic cotton and is based on ecological and societal standards.
It ensures that cotton is produced organically without the use of harmful chemicals or genetically modified seeds. Additionally, it guarantees traceability, including transaction certificates at every step of production, from the point of raw material post-harvest to the final consumer.
The presence and quantity of organic material in a finished product are verified by the Organic Content Standard (OCS), a voluntary worldwide standard. It monitors the movement of the basic materials from the point of origin to the finished good.Products made by Stanley/Stella that contain less than 70% organic cotton must adhere to this guideline. As a "PETA-Approved" company, Stanley/Stella makes a commitment to never perform or commission animal testing on ingredients, formulations, or finished goods. In order to prevent any harm to animals, all of the materials used to make our goods are vegan.
OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 is one of the world's most well-known guidelines for assessing harmful substances in fabrics. Our certification proves that the products are manufactured without the use of harmful chemicals to human health and the environment. Standard 100 also prohibits certain possibly hazardous substances, even if they are not yet formally prohibited, and it ensures that our products comply with the EU REACH regulation.
'PETA-Approved' indicates that we do not perform or commission animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products, and we promise never to do so in the future. Our products are manufactured from 100% vegan materials and contain no animal fibers, ensuring that no animals are harmed.
We are aware that, while our products are GOTS certified and GMOs are excluded from organic systems, organic does not guarantee total freedom from contamination or the absence of GMOs in our products. This is why we go above and beyond to ensure traceability throughout our complete value chain.
Our garment provider strives to keep the promises we make to our customers and ourselves through limiting the number of suppliers, cultivating relationships with farmers and ginners, and maintaining a reputation as one of the few businesses that conducts its own random testing.
* All GOTS, OCS, GRS, and/or OEKO-TEX certification requirements are completely met by our products.
